The “Carpet” series, featuring abstract designs created by laying countless flower petals, draws inspiration from “Infiorata,” a flower art technique with over 400 years of history originating in Italy. Infiorata, meaning “to strew with flowers” in Italian, is also known as “ephemeral art.” The designs are created with the desire to capture the most beautiful moment of flower paintings that exist only for a short time due to the fleeting nature of flowers. The flowers used in each design are collected and repurposed for photography before being discarded.
