plantica's Rococo-Inspired "Sweet Room" at Huis Ten Bosch's Flower Grand Festival

As a guest artist for Huis Ten Bosch’s (Sasebo, Nagasaki) annual “Flower Grand Festival” in spring 2015, plantica designed installations across four rooms within the “Palace Huis Ten Bosch.” This report details the “Sweet Room” themed installation within the “18th Century Room.”

Drawing inspiration from the Rococo decorative style and imagining the aristocratic culture of the era, plantica undertook the complete spatial design for this room. Central to the installation was a catering table lavishly adorned with colorful, fragrant fresh flower arrangements and Western confections like macarons. Furthermore, plantica produced custom floral-patterned items specifically for the room, including bedding (e.g., for a canopy bed), furniture (closet, sofa, chairs), and even period-style clothing (blouses, skirts, shoes), all integrated into the immersive display.

The overall effect was a recreation of an elegant and sweet aristocratic period room, reminiscent of scenes from Sofia Coppola’s film “Marie Antoinette.”

plantica 于豪斯登堡「花之大祭典」设计“18世纪洛可可风甜蜜套房”

2015 年春季，plantica 受邀作为客座艺术家，参与了日本长崎县佐世保市“豪斯登堡”主题公园的年度盛事「花之大祭典」。plantica 在园内的「豪斯登堡宫殿」中，为四个不同的房间进行了主题装置艺术设计。本文将着重介绍其中设于“18世纪时代房”内，以「Sweet Room」(甜蜜套房) 为主题的空间艺术创作。

该房间的设计灵感源自洛可可时期的华丽装饰艺术风格，并融入了对当时贵族奢华生活文化的想象。plantica 负责了整个空间的视觉与氛围营造。展厅中央精心布置了一张宴会桌，桌上摆满了色彩缤纷、芬芳馥郁的鲜花插花以及马卡龙等精致西点。此外，plantica 还特别为此空间定制设计并制作了带有花卉图案的床上用品（如带华盖的床铺）、家具（衣柜、沙发、座椅等）乃至服饰（衬衫、裙子、鞋履等），共同构成了这个沉浸式的艺术装置。
