plantica led the design of the Christmas decorations and key visuals for Grand Front Osaka, a commercial complex directly connected to Osaka’s Umeda Station. The fourth annual Christmas theme, “Winter in Blossom,” showcased a vibrant celebration of flowers and illuminations. From the interior decorations to the key visuals, the design was unified to embody the theme’s enchanting essence.

Key Visuals: A Blend of Nature and Festivity
The key visuals featured familiar Christmas motifs such as snowmen, Christmas trees, and snowflakes, uniquely expressed through pressed flowers. These intricate designs were brought to life through real photography, creating artwork that perfectly reflected the “Winter in Blossom” theme.

The Artistic Process
The visuals were created using a mosaic-like technique, assembling parts to form complete motifs. Starting with the selection and pressing of flowers, each piece was arranged and fixed onto A3-sized glass plates (approximately 42x30cm). The meticulous process, from sourcing materials to completing the motifs, took around 20 days, resulting in highly detailed artwork.
The delicate beauty of these floral visuals, combined with the festive illuminations, created a magical atmosphere that enhanced the Christmas experience at Grand Front Osaka.
